Two Lion Air planes for the Jakarta-Bengkulu failed to land at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu. The two planes with flight numbers JT-636 and JT-630 could not land because of bad weather.
Reported detikSumatra, the Lion Air JT-630 aircraft then chose to land at Palembang’s SMB II Airport. Meanwhile, the plane with flight number JT-636 returned to Jakarta.
“Bad weather was a factor in the failure of the lending (landing) of two airlines, because of that Lion Air JT-636 was diverted to Jakarta and JT-630 was diverted to Palembang,” said Executive General Manager of PT AP II Fatmawati Airport BengkuluNgatimin K. Murtono, Saturday (11/2/2023).
Ngatimin said the Lion Air plane with flight number JT-636 contained 179 passengers. While JT-630 has 185 passengers. He added that JT-630 had landed safely at BKS. Meanwhile, Lion Air JT-636 has returned take off from Jakarta to Bengkulu.
“We are still waiting for JT-636 to land in Bengkulu,” said Ngatimin.
Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura II Palembang SMB II Airport Executive General Manager, Iwan Winaya Mahdar, said the JT 630 aircraft had departed back to Bengkulu from Palembang.
