The Fürth clover fell behind early: Darmstadt’s Tobias Kempe used a free kick from the edge of the penalty area to 1-0 in the second minute of the game, the ball landed in the upper left corner of the goal and bounced off the inside post into the net. Even before the break, Darmstadt’s best striker Serdar Dursun (40th) increased, Paul Seguin only hit the post for Fürth.

After the break, Julian Green shortened with a volley direct decrease (69th), U21 international David Raum managed to equalize with a head (75th). Now the Fürth were closer to victory, scored through the substitute Dickson Abiama in the goal – but the hit did not count due to offside (86th). By winning points, the Franks overtook Hamburger SV for the moment and are now second in the table.

The game between Eintracht Braunschweig and SC Paderborn failed to score goals. At first it seemed as if there were enough opportunities for a goal: After a duel between Paderborn’s Aristote Nkaka and Braunschweig’s striker Nick Proschwitz, referee Nicolas Winter initially decided on a penalty. However, the referee took the decision back after video evidence: Nkaka had tackled the tackle, but did not hit the opponent (17th).
After the break, Paderborn’s offensive efforts were stopped by a VAR intervention. Dennis Srbeny had put the ball on for Sven Michel in accordance with the rules, but had previously been offside when he was passed by Chris Führich (53rd). Shortly before the end, Christopher Antwi-Adjei missed the rule-compliant big chance to win Paderborn and shot past the empty goal from ten meters (84th).

The newcomer from Braunschweig remains in 15th place in the table and, thanks to the point win this weekend, cannot be ousted from there. Paderborn is in ninth place in the middle of the table.
