Two bodies are said to have been found in the Amazon Jungle. The two bodies were found in the search for British journalist Dom Phillips and Brazilian indigenous expert Bruno Pereira who missing the Amazon.
Reported AFPMonday (13/6/2022), the discovery of the 2 bodies was conveyed by Phillips’ nephew, Dominique Davies, via text message that “two bodies have been found” during the search, and relatives are awaiting confirmation from federal police whether they are the two missing.
Meanwhile, reported The Guardian, a staff member of the Brazilian ambassador to the UK broke the news to the Phillips family in the UK in a phone call. This was conveyed by Phillips’ brother-in-law.
“He said he wanted us to know that … they had found two bodies,” said Paul Sherwood, Phillips’ brother-in-law.
“He didn’t specify the location and just said it was in the rainforest and he said they were tied to a tree and they haven’t been identified,” Sherwood added.
“He said that when it was light, or if possible they would do the identification.”
Find Body Parts
Meanwhile, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro said that human body parts were found floating in the Amazon River. He revealed, currently DNA tests are being carried out.
“Evidence leads us to believe something bad was done to them, because human entrails were found floating in the river, which are now undergoing DNA testing,” Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro told radio. CBN Recife as reported AFPMonday (13/6/2022).
