A 1TB SSD for 50 euros? At the time of the first SSD review on Tweakers, now fifteen years ago, a 1TB drive still cost about 17,000 euros. That is 17 euros per gigabyte, while we now pay 5 cents. Or well, if you pay 10 cents per gigabyte, you’re already past the entry-level segment we’re talking about here. Even in the real budget segment at the time, at the end of 2008, you paid almost 3 euros for 1GB of SSD storage: 200 euros for a 60GB disk in the case of an OCZ Core V2. SSDs have literally become hundreds of times cheaper.
