Prague – Slavia footballers crushed Ostrava 5-0 in the group for the title in the opening round of the extension part of the first league, and in the second place of the incomplete table they lose a point to the leaders Sparta, who have Sunday’s match against Slovácko to spare. In the group to save Česká Budějovice, Bohemians 1905 defeated 2:1 with a goal at the end of regulation and left last place. Zlín lost to him after a 0:2 defeat in Pardubice, and the penultimate Karviná has the same points after losing 2:3 in Jablonec.

Mojmír Chytil scored two Slavia goals, Ivan Schranz one each and substitute Matěj Jurásek and Václav Jurečka, who with 16 goals became the top scorers. The miner, who played without the suspended Abdullahi Tanko from the 52nd minute, may lose the fourth place on Sunday.
Slavia claimed the highest triumph in the league season. She won the most significantly over Baník since May 2003, when she outclassed him 7:0. Vršovičtí did not lose to Ostrava for the fifteenth time in a row in the top competition and they are ideally tuned for the key derby in Sparta, which is on the program in a week.
Both South Bohemia’s goals against Bohemians were scored by Austrian defender Vincent Trummer and he scored his first goals in the Czech top flight. České Budějovice did not lose in the league with Bohemians for the sixth time in a row, and they won the fifth time. Dynamo extended the unbeaten streak to five rounds and jumped from last place in the table to 14th position with a lead of two points over Karvina and Zlín. The “kangaroos” won only one of the last five league matches and remained eleventh. They have eight points for the first place in the play-off.
The Pardubice team decided on an important triumph over Zlín after a change of sides, when Marek Icha and substitute Ladislav Krobot scored. Coach Radoslav Kováč’s men won after four rounds and are 13th in the table, four points ahead of the first playoff position. “Shoemakers” failed for the second time in a row, they won in only one of the last 10 matches of the top league, and with points tied with Karvina, they fell to the last place, which is the only one that means direct relegation.
Substitute Matěj Náprstek decided the victory of Jablonec over Karvinou in the sixth minute of regulation after a turnover with the first goal in the top competition. The Slezans led twice after an own goal by Haiderson Hurtad and a free kick by Jiří Fleišman, but Vachtang Čanturišvili equalized in the first half and substitute Jakub Martinec in the 89th minute.
Thanks to the first victory after six rounds, Jablonec jumped up the play-off bars with a difference of six points. Karviné belongs to the penultimate 15th place in the table, only a better score and a higher position after the regular season separates it from the last Zlín. In the 13th position, which first means rescue, the Silesian newcomer of the top competition loses six points.
Four matches are scheduled for Sunday. In the group for the title, Plzeň will welcome Mlada Boleslav and Slovácko will host Sparta. In the group for Europe, Hradec Králové will face Olomouc and Teplice will face Liberec in the opening semi-final duels.
