1st Munich Dachshund Race: A Fun-filled Event for Dachshund Enthusiasts in Motorworld Munich

Around 50 dachshunds will compete in the fun race next Sunday

Munich, July 3, 2023. The dachshund and Munich – that’s a long love story that didn’t just begin at the 1972 Olympics. At the 1st Munich Dachshund Race on July 9, 2023 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in Motorworld Munich, around 50 of the brave, small originals will compete against each other.

The dachshund and Munich – that’s a long love story … on four paws, in smooth, long-haired, wire-haired and short-haired, black, red, pig-colored and autumn leaves, in standard, miniature or rabbit size, as a thoroughbred hunting expert, family dog and dachshund mix. At the 1st Munich Dachshund Race powered by Strauchdieb.com on July 9, 2023 (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in Motorworld Munich, around 50 of the brave, small originals will compete against each other (in different size classes) and qualify for the final rounds in partial races in the fun competition for the title “Fastest Dachshund in Munich”. For the winner, the Dachshund Museum in Regensburg offers a prize (value 500 euros) with a visit to the Dachshund Museum.

The focus is on having fun whizzing and running. Only registered dachshunds (from 1 year to 10 years) who are vaccinated can take part. The race track in the Dampfdome is secured, air-conditioned and equipped with a non-slip surface.

Of course, the charity aspect should not be missing either: the animal table in Munich is supported. The 1st Munich Dachshund Race powered by Strauchdieb.com also offers dog lovers the opportunity for “Pfotraits” family photo shoots with dogs, shopping for dog supplies and accessories and much more. The event will be equipped with eco-friendly doggie bags from The Sustainable People (thesustainablepeople.com). The participating dachshunds can look forward to stylish starting number cloths from Hubertus Loden (hubertusloden.com).

The Regensburg Dachshund Museum arrives with its tour bus and brings 100 nodding dachshunds, which are presented appropriately on the hat racks of contemporary vintage cars. The four-legged, living stars of the Dachshund Museum Seppi, Moni and Blümchen will also be there. Seppi is available for fan photos and will bring his own autograph cards. Seppi has already kissed Judith Rakers, Maria Furtwängler and didn’t stop at Till Schweiger either. For dachshund fans, the dachshund museum also offers its range of dachshunds from the dachshund shop.

The 1st Dachshund Race at Motorworld Munich is being supported by vets from Neufahrn (tieraerzteneufahrn.de).

Motorworld Munich is a center of mobility. The dachshund race takes place as part of the “Typically German?!” classic car event, which also includes a large special exhibition of classic vehicles “Opel Manta & Friends”. Original film vehicles from the film “Manta Manta” are also presented. Numerous vintage cars can be admired around the large historic locomotive hall. Admission to Motorworld Munich including a visit to the dachshund race is free of charge.
