Libreville, December 17, 2023 (AGP) – The Libreville town hall served as the setting last Saturday, December 16, for the organization of the 1st edition of the Gabonese Digital Women Awards 2023, under the theme: “How do public policies contribute to the digital inclusion of women? », at the end of which 20 women received awards of distinction as the best women in the digital field in Gabon, we noted.

It is under the supervision of the Ministry of New Information Technologies and Communication co-initiated by Digiewomen School and supported by the commune of Libreville, that this 1st edition dedicated to women active in the digital ecosystem was organized. in Gabon.

During this ceremony, 20 women winners received awards of distinction and trophies, for their involvement in the digital world as web designer, influencer, web journalist, digital business woman, blogger, digital media creator, d digital incubator, etc.

Happy to have won the award for best online seller of the year 2023 for the “Women E-Commerce” category, Aude-Berthie Ntsame Eya, better known as Madame “L’eau à la bouche”, expressed his gratitude. “I just want to say thank you to God because it hasn’t been easy. Mouthwatering has been around for 5 years. With the nights of sleep and the hard hours of work, it wasn’t easy. Today I got this reward, I say thank you to God,” she rejoiced.

To this was added, 8 other honorary prizes awarded to women, who, through their strengths, have also impacted the Gabonese digital space.

In addition to the Awards ceremony, particular emphasis was placed on the issue of the inclusion of women in digital professions. The Minister of Communication, Laurence Ndong, in his speech for the occasion, clarified the importance of the growth of digital technology in Gabonese society. She also insisted on training and support projects with a view to including women in the digitalization process.

“We are committed to implementing support programs as part of the Gabon digital project, in order to raise awareness and encourage women and young girls to pursue their careers in the digital sector.

In addition, it is important to promote success stories in the field of technology, highlighting women who have succeeded in this sector, in order to inspire future generations,” she said.
