1st division women’s hockey positions were defined
On Monday the 18th, a holiday, the play offs were held in Bragado to define the final positions of the 1st women’s division of the Central Hockey Association and the streak of Club Atlético was cut, which in the previous two days had become champion in Sub 16 female and 1st male.
On this occasion, in the semifinals, Atlético, winner of Zone “A”, beat Sarmiento 2 to 1, 2nd in Zone “B”, and Bragado Club, which was the leader of Zone “B”, qualified by sporting advantage after tie 0 to 0 with San Martín, 2nd in the “A”.
Thus, both winners reached the final, in a very even match, especially very disputed, which only opened with the local goal at 38′, but immediately came the Nuevejuiense reaction and a penalty corner play, through Antonela Brance equalized 12′ later. And when it seemed that the match was ending tied, with just over 1′ left, Bragado Club scored the winning goal, finishing 2 to 1, thus classifying champion and Atlético Sub champion.
For the other positions: for 3rd and 4th Sarmiento defeated San Martín; for the 5th and 6th Social to Saladillo; for 7th and 8th El Linqueño to 25 Hockey; and through the 9th and 10th Rivadavia to Huracán; and Ciudad was out of classification, 6th in zone “A”.
