The feature is already available for some iOS users
Mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi also reports on the function on Twitter. The time feature is already available for some iOS users. However, it is still unclear whether the function should actually be rolled out comprehensively. Because Instagram has not yet spoken out. The new feature could ensure that more users view more stories – because the time information could give users the feeling of missing something if they don’t click on the temporarily available story in time.

There was initially no official announcement of the time in the Instagram stories itself. So it remains to be seen whether the function will come with the next update. Users may have to wait a little longer before more information about the potential feature is revealed.
Another story feature that Instagram started testing a few weeks ago is a reshare sticker for feed posts. After the platform made the controversial decision at the beginning of the year to partially switch off the function of sharing feed posts in the story, the sticker could now offer an alternative to this. Other stickers that may be available soon include Story Links and Super Mentions.
