Turkey’s national soccer coach Stefan Kuntz underwent knee surgery in Stuttgart. “Everything went perfectly. I’ll be back in Turkey soon,” Kuntz shared on Instagram. The 1996 European champions only have their next competitive games with the Turks in March in the European Championship qualifier.

Kuntz took over the post of national coach in Turkey in September 2021, but missed out on participating in the World Cup in Qatar. The former top scorer had previously led the German U21 team to the European title twice.
