“The Prosecutor General’s Office will initiate an investigation against Interior Minister Lyubomir Nachev over Andrei Lukanov,”
Ivan Tatarchev
This shocking news was published on the front page of “24 Chasa” on July 6, 1995. The headline is “Tatarchev is investigating Nachev”.
The Interior Ministry chief verbally allowed the MP to leave the country on all his travels, the chief prosecutor revealed. Nachev had no right to do that.
Minister Nachev admits that he sent the MP abroad, but justifies that he had not received materials from Tatarchev for inspection. Lukanov left 8 times, using his diplomatic passport.
In order to start the investigation against him, Tatarchev asked for his immunity and the 36th National Assembly took it away. But with his re-election to the 37th parliament, Lukanov already had new immunity from prosecution under parliamentary rules. However, Tatarchev insists that Lukanov has no immunity!
No investigation has been launched against Interior Minister Nachev. Today, none of the three are alive to tell how this story ends.
Ivan Tatarchev
he was also known for his loud phrases and threats. The most famous threat is to return from abroad Ognyan Doinov, a former member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party.
This is what the Macedonian harams did, and the chief prosecutor is the successor of Dr. Hristo Tatarchev, one of the founders of the IMRO. He is the brother of Mikhail Tatarchev, grandfather of Ivan Tatarchev. He liked to say he was a hereditary patriot and nationalist.
Tatarchev was born on August 29, 1930 in Sofia. He did not love the Communists and did not hide it.
In 1952 he graduated in law from Sofia University. From 1956 to 1961 he was a lawyer in Malko Tarnovo, Razlog and Razgrad. But in 1958 he was deprived of the right to practice his profession because he was repressed for political reasons. A stonemason is forced to work.
His rights were restored in 1961 and since 1966 he has been working as a lawyer in Sofia. After 1989 he was completely rehabilitated. By a decree of the President, Dr. Zhelyu Zhelev of February 19, 1992, he became Chief Prosecutor. He held this position until February 19, 1999. He was replaced by Nikola Filchev.
Lubomir Nachev
was born on October 22, 1954 in the village of Dyulevo, Burgas region. Graduated in law at Sofia University. Until 1991 he worked in the Ministry of Interior, reaching the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Criminology and Criminology. In 1995, Lyubomir Nachev became Minister of Interior in the government of Jean Videnov. In early 1996, he drew up a list of 2,315 defendants with pending cases. Nothing comes of this.
Nachev was forced to resign in early May 1996 after being filmed by BNT journalist Sevda Shishmanova having fun in the company of models.
This happened only a few hours after three police officers were shot dead in the capital’s Lyulin district. Videnov does not accept the resignation.
Nachev was the only one who dared to leave the building of the besieged parliament on January 10, 1997. Miraculously, he was not beaten by the protesters.
After 1997, Nachev gave up politics and became a lawyer in Burgas and Karnobat. He did not start his profession, he was forgotten by his party members. On October 13, 2006, he committed suicide with his pistol.
Andrey Lukanov
was born on September 26, 1938 in Moscow. One of the leading politicians of the Bulgarian Communist Party, who took part in the overthrow of Todor Zhivkov. In 1990, he was prime minister of two governments.
On July 9, 1992, he was arrested on charges that as First Deputy Prime Minister in the period 1986-1989, he misappropriated public property in particularly large amounts. The case was terminated and he was released on December 30, 1992.
Since 1995 he has been a partner and president of the joint Russian-Bulgarian joint-stock company Topenergy with a registered capital of BGN 60 million.
Lukanov was shot dead on October 2, 1996, with four bullets in front of his home at 15 Latinka Street.
