Duisburg. Steinhof Huckingen, Tuesday, August 31, 2021: A festive day for 198 candidates from the Duisburg police force. After successfully completing the dual course of study, the deputy head of the authorities Dirk Harder (Chief Criminal Investigator) appointed them police commissioners today.

The first star now shines on her shoulder boards. During their three-year course, they worked in the districts of Kleve, Wesel and Viersen or the cities of Mönchengladbach, Krefeld and Duisburg. Among other things, they learned how to record accidents, write criminal charges and drive patrol cars with special rights and rights of way. Now it is important to apply what has been learned in the training and to be on patrol permanently in shift work at a police station.

Dirk Harder presented the former junior police officers with their certificates at two events. Afterwards, the young officers proudly took photos in the uniforms with the first star on their shoulders.
