Argentina recorded 11,945 new cases of coronavirus, and 197 deaths from the disease, according to Ministry of Health data.
In its report issued Friday, the Ministry stated that the total number of infections in Argentina since the beginning of the epidemic reached 613,658, while the total number of deaths reached 12,656.
In contrast, nearly 470,000 patients have recovered from the virus so far.
On Friday, Argentine President Alberto Fernandez announced a new extension of isolation measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus in the country, warning that the pandemic is still far from being under control.
