The number of corona cases in Hamburg remains high. According to the social security agency, 194 new cases were registered on Sunday. That is 24 more than on Sunday a week ago. There were 210 new cases on Saturday.
According to the authorities, a total of 55,007 people in the Hanseatic city have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 49,300 of these can now be regarded as recovered.

The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose further to 86.8. A week ago this value was 82.6.
As of Friday, 233 corona patients are being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 100 of whom are in an intensive care unit. According to the RKI, 1,332 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city since the beginning of the pandemic. That was four more deaths than last stated.
