A 19-year-old scooter rider was killed in a collision on De Boelelaan in Zuid. The accident happened just before noon today. A scooter carrying two people collided with a pedestrian.
They were all injured. The pedestrian was treated on the spot, the scooter rider and co-driver were rushed to hospital. The driver of the scooter died of his injuries there.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened. This is being investigated by the detectives.

There was also a serious accident just down the road in the Rivierenbuurt this morning. A cyclist collided with a coach at the intersection of Churchilllaan and Scheldestraat and was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
