This was a momentous accident on Tuesday evening, February 13th, shortly before 8 p.m. for one 19-year-old Fröndenberger. In the Neimen industrial area he crashed into the car of a woman from Wickede/Ruhr who was turning left from Westicker Straße into Wernher von Braun-Straße shortly before 8 p.m.
The oncoming 19-year-old scooter driver sustained minor injuries.
During the check, a whole host of discrepancies were uncovered: The young man could not provide any proof of ownership of the scooter and had neither a driver’s license nor valid insurance. His scooter had no seat, no fairing, no lighting.
The scooter was seized, also because it cannot be ruled out that it was stolen.
