A 19-year-old man was injured in the shooting at Muntelaar in Veghel on Sunday night. The victim’s life is not in danger, police said on Monday. The shooting was preceded by a fight between the victim, a friend of his and three men. The trio escaped after the shooting.
It is just before half past two on a Sunday evening when two friends are relaxing in the parking lot of the Koning Willem I college on the Muntelaar in Veghel when a car arrives from the Bundersweg. The car stops in front of the two men, including the latest victim, and three get out.
Almost immediately, according to the police, an altercation broke out which soon escalated into a fight. There are heavy blows here. Then she rings out a shot. The bullet fired by one of the three men hits one of the friends. As fast as the men drove up, then drive off again. The police are still looking for them. A description of them has been released

The one with the weapon is a medium-sized white man with a goatee. He is between 20 and 25 years old and is 1.70 meters tall. He was dressed in black and had a cap. The second man police are looking for is white, in his early 20s, between 6 and 6 feet 10 inches tall and of slight build. He wore a gray coat and had long hair slicked back.
The third is a light-skinned man of about 18, sporty build, curly hair and goatee. He is 1.75m tall and wore a green coat that fell to his hips. The three were traveling in a gray station wagon type car.
All witnesses to the shooting are urged to contact the police.
