“19-Year-Old Drunk Driver Leads Police on High-Speed Chase in Vechta”

In Vechta there was a chase between a 19-year-old driver and the police. The driver was drunk.

A 19-year-old had a wild chase with the police in the Vechta district. The officials wanted to check the driver in Lohne on Sunday because the front license plate was missing from his vehicle, the police said. However, the 19-year-old roared away at more than 160 kilometers per hour.

The police initially stopped the pursuit. Officers later found the car and stopped the driver. According to the police, a breath alcohol test on the 19-year-old showed a blood alcohol level of 0.75. A blood sample was taken at the hospital and he was forbidden to continue driving. The investigations are ongoing.
