After collapsing in a detention cell, a 19-year-old from Bonn died in Cologne. This is confirmed by the police and the public prosecutor. Accordingly, the young man died on Monday in the hospital.
According to an earlier statement by the officers, he was taken into custody on Saturday evening after a dispute, damage to property and the threat of a knife and taken to police headquarters to sober up. Police said he was under the influence of drugs, drugs and alcohol.

According to the announcement, ten minutes earlier he had “still shown clear vital functions”. To clarify the circumstances of death, an investigation has now been initiated, the body of the young man was taken to the forensic medicine for an autopsy. A chemical-toxicological analysis was also commissioned. So far, there is no evidence of external influence.
For reasons of neutrality, the police in Bonn had already taken over the investigation after the collapse of the 19-year-old.
