The 49 have been arrested for a number of different offenses at and around Wembley Stadium, London police say according to Reuters.
Several of those arrested belonged to a large group of ticketless supporters who tried to storm the European Championship arena Wembley.
– Frustratingly, 19 of our officers were injured when they confronted unstable crowds. This is completely unacceptable, reports Metropolitan Police on Twitter.

Many Britons went home puppetry after watching the match on sports pubs and big screens. Several streets and squares in central London were covered in rubbish and broken bottles after the European Championship defeat.
After the match, criticism of England coach Gareth Southgate hailed. Many believe it was a mistake to put the youngest on the team to take the decisive penalty.
