19 KKN-T students participate in National Polio Prevention Week in Margotani Village

National Polio Immunization Week is a major immunization program designed to increase population coverage and immunity against polio. This vaccination will be done simultaneously throughout Indonesia on Tuesday, 23 July 2024. Polio Vaccination Week is a mass vaccination program introduced by the government with the aim of eradicating polio. Polio is an infectious disease caused by the polio virus that causes permanent paralysis in children.

This polio vaccine takes place in this one-week cycle and is indicated for children aged 0-7 years, regardless of whether they have received a polio vaccine before.

This Vaccination Event Received a Warm Welcome from the Margotani Community. Since the event was held, many parents have come to participate with their children. Polio Vaccination given to Margotani Village Midwives, Posyandu, PAUD, Kindergarten and Primary School in Margotani Village. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the nearest National Polio Vaccination Week by bringing the Family Card (KK) and the Posyandu book.

It is hoped that during this National Polio Vaccination Week, Margotani Village will be able to achieve high vaccination coverage and participate in national efforts to reduce polio in Indonesia.
