The “Dubai Fitness Challenge” revealed the names of 19 centers specializing in fitness to support the “Dubai Fitness Challenge” initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The specialized centers – which were announced – will conduct exercises for women led by female trainers at the Zabeel Ladies Club, horse riding lessons at the Emirates Equestrian Center, and (Zumba and trampoline) classes for fitness, boxing, yoga, and meditation classes at “The Beach”, opposite “Jumeirah Beach Residence.” .
The list of centers includes: (City Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Golden Mile Galleria, Bluewaters, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai Sports City, Danube Sports World, Dubai Marina Mall, Ripe Souq, Dragon Mart, Hatta Wadi Hub, Dubai Physiotherapy Centre). Rehabilitation, Dubai Design District, Dubai Festival City Mall, Zabeel Ladies Club, Dubai Healthcare City, Champs Spotters, DIFC District, and Emirates Equestrian Centre).
The Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, said: “(Dubai Fitness Challenge) is not just a sporting event that lasts for a month, but rather a catalyst for change in the long term, as fitness centers seek to have a positive and lasting impact on the health and quality of life of the entire community, by By making fitness available to everyone, the initiative also encourages everyone to set personal goals, challenge themselves, and participate with others to promote a culture of health, activity, and vitality in the city of Dubai.”
The Executive Director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, Ahmed Al Khaja, spoke about these centers, saying: “Our goal is to create accessible spaces, to encourage individuals and families to prioritize their fitness, and embark on a fitness journey that changes their lives for the better, and with the presence of many fitness centers Spread across the city, we can say that we have succeeded in expanding our reach significantly thanks to the support and commitment of our partners. This enables us to bring fitness closer to our communities, making it easier for everyone to participate and enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.”
On the other hand, next Sunday, Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai will witness the largest running track in the world as part of the comprehensive, non-competitive community event of the “Dubai Running Challenge”, with two tracks in the city center with a length of (5 km and 10 km).
The 5 km track is dedicated to runners of all ages and abilities, as it starts near the Museum of the Future on Sheikh Zayed Road, passing through Burj Khalifa and Dubai Opera, reaching the finish line near the Dubai Mall, while the other track (10 km long) heads towards, For experienced runners, it runs on difficult roads, which starts near the Museum of the Future and extends to the Dubai Water Canal, then turns towards Sheikh Zayed Road and ends on Al Mostaqbal Street near the gate of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Registration for both tracks will be free, as participants can reserve their places through online registration and choose the track they wish to compete in. Upon registration, a QR code will be issued, in preparation for obtaining the challenge’s participation number sticker.
The Dubai Running Challenge will begin with a parade of Dubai Police cars, with the support of Nissan, the automotive partner in the Dubai Running Challenge.
