19 Award-Winning Films to Screen at the 6th El Gouna International Film Festival

The sixth session of the El Gouna International Film Festival will be held from the 13th to the 20th of next October, and in preparation for a heavy session after an absence, the festival management announced the selection of 19 films that competed or won various awards or ratings to be special screenings in the next session:

1- Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Trier – France – Palm Bearer Cannes 2023.

2- The buriti flower by Joanne Salaveza and Rene Nadermisura – Brazil – competed in the Un Certain Regard event in Cannes.

3- The Echo by Tatiana Huizo – Mexico, Germany – Best Documentary in Berlin 2023.

4- May December by Todd Haynes – USA – raced in Cannes.

‏5- Obscure night – goodbye here by Stephane Georges – France, Switzerland – Special mention from Locarno Festival.

6- On the adamant by Nicolas Flipper – France – Berlin Golden Bear 2023.

7- The shadowless tower by Jang Lu – China – several awards from Berlin 2023.

‏8- A strange path by Goto Barantier – Brazil – Best Feature Film at the Tribeca Festival.

9- Youth Spring by Dang Ping – China – raced in Cannes.

10- All to play for by Delphine Diploguet – France – He competed in the “Look What” event in Cannes.

11- Dreaming and Dying by Nelson Yu – Singapore, Indonesia. Golden Leopard from the Locarno Festival.

12- Family Portrait by Lucy Kerr – USA – raced in Locarno.

17- Totem by Leela A. Philips – Mexico – Golden Firebird Award in Hong Kong.

18- Whispers of fire and water by Lubdak Chatterjee – India – raced in Locarno.

19- White plastic sky by Tibor Panocchi and Salorna Tzabo – Hungary.
