DISTRICT URFAHR SURROUNDINGS. An 18-year-old from the Urfahr-Umgebung district had to be resuscitated this Sunday morning after falling down stairs.
The woman, who is active in the fire brigade, hurried from her apartment on the first floor via a spiral staircase to the ground floor because of an alarm. She fell and was lying unconscious in the middle of the stairs.
Reanimated for 40 minutes
Her friend heard the fall and alerted the rescue. He also began resuscitating his girlfriend until the ambulance arrived. Both the doctors and the firefighters present took turns with the resuscitation for 40 minutes.
The woman was finally stabilized. The rescue helicopter Christophorus 10 brought them to the Elisabethinen hospital.
