Payton Gendron had been on trial for first degree murder since the day of his attack on a Buffalo supermarket, a charge he initially declared “innocent.”

After making an initial appearance before a judge in Buffalo, a grand jury indicted him Wednesday on charges including murder, attempted murder, racially motivated hate crime and an act of domestic terrorism, according to the Erie County Attorney’s Office on the banks of the eponymous river. more that is shared by the United States and Canada.

Gendron, who has been in custody since May 14, will appear in court on Thursday afternoon to hear all his charges.

On May 14, the white man began shooting at a store in a predominantly black neighborhood in Buffalo. He killed ten people and injured three people. Eleven of the thirteen victims were black Americans.

It was meticulously planned for months, as evidenced by hundreds of internet messages from the alleged killer.

In his messages and in a racist, supremacist and conspiracy manifesto attributed to him, several months before the massacre, Gendron had written that he wanted to kill black people and that he was targeting a poor and isolated neighborhood in Buffalo because of the high percentage of African American people who lives there.

He had also prepared his attack minute by minute, planning to wear military gear, carry a camera and broadcast his crime on the Twitch platform.
