Varanasi: Parliamentarian Sports Competition was organized on Sunday at Dr. Sampurnanand Sports Stadium in Sigra. The competition was inaugurated by Cantt MLA Saurav Srivastava. The competition will run for four days. In which various types of games will be played and more than 1700 players will participate. Around 250 children participated on the first day of the competition. During this time, Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal, who came to inspect, tried his hand at table tennis and played table tennis for about 5 minutes.

Chief Development Officer Himanshu Nagpal said that the Kashi MP Sports Competition is being organized throughout November. 31 sports are being organized in four phases. Table tennis competition is being organized at Sigra Stadium in Kashi. More than 1000 players have registered and participated in this. More than 2 lakh people have participated in the competition so far. There are still zonal level, block level and district level competitions remaining. It is estimated that this time more than 2.5 lakh players will participate. The stadium will be inaugurated soon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The final stage matches of all competitions will be played at Sigra Stadium.
Table Tennis Secretary and Uttar Pradesh Selection Committee member Sarita Vishwanath Gokarna said that the players are getting very good facilities through the MP Sports Competition. The players here will get good coaches so that they can make their mark at the international level. In table tennis, male and female players of the age group of under 11, 11-14, 14-18, 18-40 and above 40 years have participated.
