A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in The Hague. The perpetrator or perpetrators are fugitive, the police reported on Twitter.
A trauma helicopter and several ambulances were called in, but the deployment of the emergency services was to no avail. The police have cordoned off part of the street and are investigating what exactly happened. Tram traffic was diverted.
The stabbing took place around 8.30 pm on the Rijswijkseweg, just past the intersection with the Goudriaankade. The boy was in front of a supermarket and clothing repair shop.
Earlier in the evening, someone was also stabbed in the Laak district, reports Broadcaster West. The victim was injured and taken to hospital. The police have arrested three suspects. It is unclear whether the stabbing has anything to do with the incident on Rijswijkseweg.
