The police have arrested a seventeen-year-old Rotterdam resident on suspicion of throwing a shopping cart at a woman on Wednesday evening.
The boy allegedly threw the cart from a footbridge at the Zuidplein shopping center together with three other boys.
He was arrested on Thursday evening and is suspected of attempted serious assault or manslaughter.
The shopping cart landed on the 35-year-old woman. She was then taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are still looking for the other three boys.
