Alieu Atlee Manneh made his debut in the cup against Skövde.
The 17-year-old did it in an above position – in Theo Bergvall’s shirt.
– They can fix an Atlee Manneh shirt for next time, says the talent.
Alieu Atlee Manneh has only done a few training sessions with Djurgården’s A team, but in the cup premiere against Skövde, the 17-year-old talent made his debut.
Manneh, who is actually a defender, was substituted as a wing forward in the 87th minute. He also did it in Theo Bergvall’s jersey.
After the 2–0 victory, Manneh explained why.
– They haven’t had time to fix Atlee Manneh on the shirt so they said “take Theo’s shirt”. It was just fun. They can fix an Atlee Manneh jersey for next time.

“It felt powerful”
Were you surprised that you got in?
– It came as a bit of a surprise, but I was still prepared. It was a lot of fun to come in in front of the fans, maybe a little edgy at first but after two seconds it just became fun. I got to run a bit, maybe not a lot of ball touch but it was fun to get out there. It felt powerful.
The fact that it was in a higher position did not matter that much.
– I am a center back and can play left back as well, but had to come in as a winger. It’s an above position, but I got to run a bit and cover surfaces.
Manneh was praised by coach Lagerlöf after the match.
– He is incredibly skilled, actually a centre-back or left-back. He has a good eye for the game, but has a lot to work on in his defensive and positional play. A great talent.
