A case showing the power of the killer whale, the top predator that dominates the world’s oceans, has been revealed. Recently, Marine Dynamics, a marine environment organization in Gansbaai, South Africa, said that two male orcas caught and ate 17 sharks in just one day in the waters of Gansbaai, South Africa.

The place where a pair of killer whales had a ‘party’ is the Gansbaai Sea, about 100 km east of Cape Town, where great white sharks, one of the top predators of the sea, often appear. Because of this, Gansbai is also a famous tourist destination often visited by tourists who want to see and experience them up close inside the iron cage in the sea or on a boat.

The incident happened on the 24th of last month, and the killer whales that were killed were also found to be pots and starboards, which are already notorious in South Africa. Marine Dynamics researcher Ralph Watson said, “At the time, I witnessed two killer whales appear and dive repeatedly for about two hours.”

A lamprey shark was recently found dead on Gansbaai Beach, South Africa, with only its liver eaten.

According to reports, Port and Starbod have long been known as the region’s notorious predators. In 2015, many seven-star sharks were killed, and in 2017 and 2019, great white sharks washed up on the beach after being devoured. Surprisingly, even great white sharks disappeared from the area because of fear of killer whales. Since then, the sea has been quiet for a while, but this time, as the two killer whales resume their activities, tension is flowing in the area.

Allison Toner, a researcher at Rhodes University in South Africa, said, “Killer whales are very intelligent and hunt with teamwork and strategy.

Meanwhile, killer whales are popular because of their unique appearance, but in fact they are the top predators that dominate the world’s oceans. Killer whales, with enough strength to tear a ferocious white shark in two, can eat seals, penguins, and even dolphins. Because of this, the English-speaking name attached is the killer whale (Killer Whale). In particular, killer whales are very intelligent and are known as flawless predators. They are ruthless when hunting, but they are terrible when it comes to family love.
