17 Pangkalpinang City Residents Affected by Dengue Fever

PANGKAPINANG, www.wowbabel.com– The Pangkapinang City Government Health Office (Pemkot) noted that there were 23 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Pangkapinang City, since January 3 until now.

“Indeed, currently there is an increase in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) since January 3, 2022 until now there are about 23 cases, and it has been confirmed that there are 17 dengue fever, and the rest are exposed to ordinary fever which is suspected to be DHF,” said the Head of the Pangkalpinang City Government Health Office, Dr. Masagus M Hakim, Wednesday (12/1/2022).

The judge revealed that the Pangkapinang City Health Service had conducted tracking in the area of the residents affected by the dengue fever.

“We, from the Health Service, have already carried out tracking, because in this case there is an SOP, if there are people suspected of having dengue fever, we will immediately carry out tracking,” said Hakim.

In addition, he explained, the tracking carried out by the Pangkapinang City Government Health Office, directly went to the field, and saw mosquito larvae in the homes of the neighbors of patients who were infected with dengue.

“Because the indicator for dengue fever is the existing mosquito larvae, and we have already done that, if it meets the criteria, we will immediately fogging. In some places we have fogged, but some have not yet fogged,” said Hakim.

The judge added that in anticipation of that, his party would reactivate the DBD Alert Team of the Pangkapinang City Health Office.

“So anticipating that, we will reactivate the DHF Alert Team, and we will deploy the team by upgrading and outreaching 3M to the community,” he said.

According to him, the main thing for dengue fever is prevention because the follow-up process has entered the treatment process.

“If only fogging that day the mosquitoes can die, but after spraying with fogging the next day the mosquito larvae will live again. So the main thing to overcome this, we will do prevention with 3M, but fogging will also be carried out,” said Dr. Masagus M Hakim.(fn/wb)
