This is the highest number of Covid-19 patients diagnosed in a single day since August 26, when 18 infected people were registered.
The information available to the SPKC shows that six patients have returned from abroad – Great Britain and Russia. Three more patients are contact persons, and the conditions of infection are still being clarified for eight people. The epidemiological investigation is ongoing.
So far, a total of 293,309 Covid-19 examinations have been performed in Latvia, 1,515 sick persons have been identified, and 1,248 persons have recovered from Covid-19.
To date, a total of 36 deaths have been registered in Latvia in persons who have been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19.
Another Covid-19 patient was hospitalized in the last 24 hours. A total of eight patients are treated in hospitals, all with moderate disease. To date, 214 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital, including both healthy and deceased patients.
