It is reported that 17 Indians are trapped in the Israeli container ship seized by Iran. The Iranian military seizes the ship in the Strait of Hormuz. India had earlier warned its citizens to avoid Israel-Iran travel. The accident happened after this. Iranian media claimed the ship was carrying a Portuguese flag and was linked to Israel – after Iranian commandos raided the ship and took it into Iranian territory.

MSC Aries was last seen en route from Dubai to the Strait of Hormuz on Friday. The ship turned off its tracking data, which is common for Israeli-affiliated ships passing through the region.
