Sports Editorial, Oct 21 (EFE).- The Arizona Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Chargers 17-15 this Monday in a duel with multiple scores at the close of week 7 of the 2024 NFL season.

The Cardinals’ victory, obtained in the last second thanks to a field goal by Chad Ryland, placed them with three wins and four losses in second place in the West division of the National Conference.

Chargers were left with a 3-3 record in position three in the West of the American Conference.

Los Angeles let go of the chance to score in the first quarter after Jalen Reagor fumbled the ball a yard from the end zone, the ball went out of the side of the end zone, so possession passed to the Cardinals.

In the second quarter, the Chargers took a 0-3 lead with Cameron Dicker’s 59-yard field goal, the longest of his career.

Arizona reacted with an offensive that culminated in Murray’s pass to Greg Dortch that gave them a 7-3 lead, but Dicker was responsible for sending the game to halftime 7-6 with another three-point kick.

In the third period the defenses once again prevailed. The Cardinals mistreated Herbert, injured in the thumb of his right hand, with constant pressure and three sacks. The Chargers regained the lead 7-9 with the third field goal of the game connected by Cameron Dicker.

Arizona’s response came in the opening drive of the fourth quarter with a spectacular 44-yard escape by Kyler Murray to the end zone to regain control of the game 14-9.

Chargers turned 14-15 boosted by the effectiveness of Dicker, who connected his fourth and fifth field goals of the duel, while his offense linked 15 consecutive offensive series in the campaign without a touchdown.
