16th Al Wathba Stallions Cup Racing Festival Hosted at Tarbes Racecourse in France: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Supports Purebred Arabian Horses

Today, the ancient Tarbes Racecourse in France will host the events of two races for the Al Wathba Stallions Cup for purebred Arabian horses, under the auspices of the sixteenth edition of the Racing Festival of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The organization of the festival comes with the support and encouragement of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Office, who contributes to developing the horse racing industry in the world, and supporting efforts to preserve purebred Arabian horse breeds.

The first race of the Al Wathba Stallions Cup, the Val d’Adore prize amounting to 16,000 euros, attracts 11 purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above over a distance of 2,100 metres. The Emirates Horses are represented by the colt “Ghassan” Lyas of the Horse Racing Management, under the supervision of Damien Vatrigant and led by Fabrice Veron. And the “Al-Jarf” of the Royal Cavalry of Oman, under the supervision of Elizabeth Bernard and the leadership of Michael Forrest.

Competing for the title are the mare “Petite Attica” by Daniel Lacave, driven by Valentin Segway, and the horse “Show the Star” by Mehdi Ben Masoud, driven by Antoine Werle, both under the supervision of Olivier Tregoudet. 12 purebred Arabian horses aged four years and above compete in the second race, a distance of 1,500 metres, for the Al Wathba Cup title and the Chris II Prize, amounting to 16 thousand euros, led by the mare “Kawthar” of the Royal Cavalry of Oman, under the supervision of coach Elizabeth Bernard, and led by Merline Ion.
