Mehmed, 28, from Mityo Ochite’s gang, cut with an electric knife in the bathroom of an apartment
Stanimir Ragevski, accused of brutal murder, does not admit, he will ask for a lighter measure of restraint
The abductee expected a large sum from the detained entrepreneur to solve his financial problems
The bullet with which the 28-year-old Yumer Mehmed from Burgas was killed was found stuck in his skull, sources of “168 Hours” revealed. The projectile will be examined by experts to determine with what firearm Mehmed, who was under investigation for burning a hearse, was executed by the broken gang of the Nessebar boss Mityo Ochite. The weapon has not yet been found, and it has not been established with what tool the body of the 28-year-old man was dismembered into many parts, distributed first in small bags and then in several sacks. In one of the bags was only the head of the kidnapped Humer. Investigators suspect the body was cut with an electric knife. At a briefing after the unraveling of the case, the head of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior, Senior Commissioner Kaloyan Kaloyanov, announced that the body of the murdered man had been dismembered for three days. The scene worthy of a cruel bloody thriller took place in the bathroom of an apartment on the 6th floor in the Zornitsa complex. Although
the room
has been thoroughly cleaned,
however, traces of the blood of sliced Yumer were found. Stanimir Ragevski, a 55-year-old construction contractor from Burgas, with whom Yumer knew, is accused of the brutal murder. Investigators are adamant that he made great efforts to cover up the crime from the moment of his contact with the victim to the hiding of the remains of his body.
Ragevski was arrested in his office on Al. Stamboliyski Street on August 7, a day after Yumer was named
nationwide search
In fact, Yumer, who is the head of a construction brigade in a company of his friends, disappeared on August 4. On this day, Mehmed is at a construction site located on Ivan Bogorov Street near the former sobering-up building. The brigade was repairing a room on the ground floor when Humer received a phone call. Workers hear that he is making an appointment at three in the afternoon in a parking lot near the site. At the appointed time, the foreman leaves and never returns to work. He does not return to his apartment with his girlfriend Gabriela. Later, reviewing security camera footage in the area, forensic scientists found that Yumer was getting into an old white Mercedes in the parking lot. The entire route of the car, which turned out to be Ragevski’s, was clarified, as well as his final destination – a residential building in the Zornitsa complex, also owned by the businessman and his wife. According to Burgas criminal investigators, Yumer was killed on August 4, and in the days following Ragevski’s arrest, he was dismembered. The human remains were taken out of the apartment in several cans. Thus, the bags with the cut arms, legs, torso and head remain hidden from human view. The pieces of human flesh were dumped in a swampy dump near Lake Vaya. According to the prosecution
the remains are
were transferred
by Ragevski and his aver Deyan Dichev, who helped him. Dichev is the man who led the criminalists to the swamp on the afternoon of August 11. With this, the investigation takes a huge step forward – the body of the missing Yumer was found, and the detained businessman, who was initially accused only of kidnapping, received a new charge – the murder of 28-year-old Yumer Mehmed. At the moment, the “transporter” Dichev is only a witness in the case. Moreover, he is the main witness. He claimed to have been
called by Ragevski to help him
to take out a corpse, allegedly of an animal shot by a businessman. Dichev is in the restaurant business. He runs one of the most popular restaurants in the seaside town, and runs a nightclub. Years ago, Ragevski also ran a restaurant, but it was destroyed in a mysterious fire. His main business is construction of buildings – residential and marine properties. Participates as an owner or partner in a dozen companies for construction and trade, according to a reference in the Commercial Register. In one of them he is a partner with another entrepreneur from Burgas – Angel Dimov Kostadinov.
He is the ex-husband of Ragevski’s lawyer Vanya Radieva. According to Ragevski-Kostadinov, who was well informed by the partners, somewhere in 2008-2009 the businesswoman Teodora Bahlova, who mysteriously disappeared at the end of October last year, bought two floors of a luxury residential building on K. Fotinov Street in the center of Burgas. The solid deal turned Bahlova, who at the time was a successful real estate broker, into a courted client, and she became close to Ragevski and his partner Angel Kostadinov. However, the broker began to sink financially and eventually the apartments in question were seized because of
unpaid
bank loans,
and subsequently given to a private bailiff. The murder of Yumer, and more precisely the detention of Stanimir Ragevski, automatically updated the Bahlova case. Especially after it became clear that on the day of her disappearance, 47-year-old Theodora saw Stanimir, and then she, like Yumer, received a phone call, after which she left her home. Teodora Hristiana’s daughter says that Ragevski was an old friend and business partner of her mother.
