In the canton of Bern, 167 new Covid infections were registered within a day – about the same number as the day before (175). Another nine people died as a result of the virus.
The number of deaths in the canton of Bern has risen to a total of 918 since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the figures published on the Internet on Saturday.
The numbers on those hospitalized are not updated on the weekend. On Friday, 118 people were in the hospital, 24 of them in the intensive care unit. The test volume reported on Saturday remained stable with 2225 tests performed (Friday: 2215).
