Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry registered 1,625 new establishments during the year 2022, an increase of 1.5% over 2021, as this number included 243 new establishments within the free zones of the Ras Al Khaimah economic zones, and 115 new branches of local and foreign establishments, and the first quarter had the largest share of registration New memberships with a total of 443 establishments, while the month of March had the largest share of new membership registrations, as the number of new establishments reached 173 establishments.

Muhammad Hassan Al-Sabban, Director General of the Ras Al-Khaimah Chamber, explained to Al-Bayan that the establishments registered in the Ras Al-Khaimah Chamber during the year 2022 were distributed among the degrees of membership affiliated with the chamber and classified according to the capital of the establishment, as 99 new establishments were registered within the special class, at a rate of 6%. The total number of new establishments, and 4% of the new establishments were registered in the excellent class, with a total of 68 establishments. As for the establishments that were registered in the first class, their number reached 210, amounting to 13%. The largest percentage of new establishments registered during 2022 was within the second class, with a rate of 36.2%. With a total of 589 establishments, while 584 new establishments were registered in the third class, with a rate of 35.9%, and the share of the fourth class was 5% of the establishments, with a total of 75 new establishments.

The Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber indicated that the individual establishments acquired the largest percentage among the new memberships registered in the chamber when distributing the establishments according to the legal form during the year 2022, as their share amounted to 32.4%, with a total of 527 new establishments, followed by the service agent with a percentage close to it, reaching The percentage of new establishments is 31.8% with a total of 516 establishments, then limited liability companies with a rate of 24.4% and a total of 397 new establishments.

He added: The share of the one-person company, a limited liability company, amounted to 6.3%, with a total of 102 establishments, and a civil business company registered 3.9% of establishments with a total of 63 establishments, followed by a branch of a local company with a rate of 0.7%, then a branch of a foreign company with a rate of 0.2%. One joint-stock company, one public shareholding company, one private shareholding company and one free zone branch were also registered.

He added: The accommodation and food service activities sector ranked second in terms of the number of new memberships, which amounted to 417 memberships, or 15.6%, followed by the construction sector, which registered 266 new memberships, or 10%, followed by the other service activities sector, which registered 241 new memberships, or 9%. Then comes the administrative services and support services activities sector with a total of 206 memberships at a rate of 7.7%, then the manufacturing industries sector with 108 new memberships at a rate of 4%, then the professional, scientific and technical activities sector with a total of 99 establishments at a rate of 3.7%, followed by the transport and storage sector with a total of 68 new establishments. At a rate of 2.5%, then the real estate activities sector with the registration of 29 establishments, followed by the arts, entertainment and leisure sector with a total of 28 establishments, and the rest of the establishments were distributed among other sectors.
