With extensive programming, the Diocese of the state of Trujillo is preparing to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the birth of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández, Saturday, October 26, as well as its third liturgical feast.
The rector of the Isnotú sanctuary, priest José Magdaleno Álvarez, indicated that the festive activities began on October 5 and will end on Sunday the 27th.
“As the liturgical feast coincides with his birth, we decided to make a very nice program. Dr. José Gregorio Hernández continues to be a figure that inspires the best we have as Venezuelans,” commented Magdaleno.
More than 20,000 plaques in gratitude for favors granted shelter the walls of the sanctuary as an expression of faith. It is expected that on the central day of this religious celebration, Saturday, October 26, numerous devotees of the doctor of the poor will participate in the walk of faith, in its 25th edition, to ask God for his prompt canonization.
