A 16-year-old teenager was shot and killed outside a Manhattan housing complex Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
New York City Police announced Sunday that Jamere Chapman was shot around 3:00 p.m. in front of Wagner Houses on East 124th Street. The Uniformed said the minor lived a couple of blocks from the complex.
Officers responding to the NYCHA housing complex found the victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Paramedics transported Chapman to Harlem Hospital, but he passed away.
A police spokesman said the shooting was not random and the suspect’s information has not been made public.
The investigation continues.
