16-Year-Old Students in Ciamis Now Eligible for e-KTP Recording: A Promising Step Forward

In a meaningful policy ‍shift, the Ciamis Regency ⁢Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) has announced that⁣ students aged 16 can now apply for⁢ their electronic Identity Card (e-KTP), a move aimed at⁣ empowering young individuals and streamlining administrative ⁣processes.

Previously,students had to ⁣wait until they turned 17 to apply for an e-KTP. Though, this new initiative⁤ allows‍ for ⁢earlier registration, making ⁣it easier for young people to participate in various activities, both within their school surroundings and in the community.

“We are thrilled to offer this convenience to our young residents,” said Yayan‍ Muhamad Supyan, Head of the Ciamis regency Dukcapil Office. “This ‌change will enable students to be more active ‌and engaged ‌in​ their⁢ communities, fostering‍ a sense of obligation⁢ and citizenship.”

For students⁢ aged 16 who wish to apply, the process is straightforward. they need only bring a ‍photocopy of their Family Card (KK) to the Disdukcapil office or any ‌of the 27 sub-district offices spread across Ciamis Regency.

Supyan clarified that ⁢while the physical⁢ e-KTP will only be issued upon turning 17, the data ⁢recording and readiness for ‍printing are completed at the time of application. “This ensures a seamless transition to adulthood for our young residents,” he added.

This ⁣development is part of a broader effort by the ‍Ciamis Dukcapil Office to improve population management services, making them more accessible and efficient for all residents. The office​ has also implemented the​ Integrated Data System (IKD), further⁣ streamlining administrative processes for the community.

The⁤ new ⁤policy is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of young people in Ciamis Regency, providing‍ them with the necessary identity documentation ⁤to participate fully in society ​and access various services.
