Now Luke Littler is the youngest ever finalist in the World Darts Championship.

Before that, he will eat pizza.

– That’s how I did it every day, says the 16-year-old.

In the semifinals, world number eight and former world champion Rob Cross was dismissed with a clear 6–2 set.

The 16-year-old sensation was ranked 164 ahead of the tournament.

– I was happy to win just one match, and now I can go all the way. It’s crazy, Littler says.

Tokhyllas

Which is now being showered with praise.

– What a talent. The whole world is watching and he continues to deliver at the highest level. It’s fantastic, says expert Wayne Mardle in Sky Sports.

The 16-year-old has been called “the Wayne Rooney of darts”. But the former soccer star as well as Emma Raducanu and Ronnie O’Sullivan may have to excuse themselves.

“Is this kebab lover the biggest teenage sensation we’ve seen in British sporting history?”, asks The Sun.

The background is that Littler has a habit of treating himself to kebabs after his matches.

After the semi-final victory, he revealed what the routine looks like before the match.

– I will continue as I have done. In the morning I eat a cheese and ham omelet, then I go here, have a pizza and work out. That’s how I did it every day.

New millions

In addition to the sporting success, money is raining on Luke – who calls himself The Nuke.

With the final place, he has secured the equivalent of SEK 2.6 million.

And in case of victory there, the prize money rises to 6 million.

Tomorrow world number three Luke Humphries awaits in the final.
