The girl was alone when the tractor overturned on county road 483 in Skjåk in Gudbrandsdalen at 9 o’clock on Wednesday morning.
No one was present when the accident happened, and it was passers-by who found the girl. Life-saving work was carried out before the 16-year-old was flown to St. Olav’s hospital in Trondheim.
The girl’s relatives have been notified and are being taken care of by the municipality’s crisis team, according to the police.
They are investigating the accident to clarify the course of events.
