According to the report of Moqar Qaumi newspaper, an interesting step has been taken by the institution of Dubai regarding children who are interested in becoming imams of mosques in Dubai.
Last month, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the prince of Dubai, announced the new project Imam al-Farj regarding young children becoming imams. are being shared.
Director General of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi said that the aim of this initiative is to bring young imams to the mosques of Dubai while contributing to education and awareness in the society of Dubai.
Under the Imam Al Faraj project, children between the ages of 16 to 21 years will receive training in a period of four months, who will be given important responsibilities in different mosques.
The organization has selected 70 mosques where parents can send their children after noon prayer from May 1, where their training will begin.
Two important roles have been revealed in the project, Imam al-Farj and Muzin al-Farj, while for Imam al-Farj, the age of children has been kept from 16 to 21 years, while for Muazzam al-Farj, children from six to 15 years will be selected.
In the United Arab Emirates, during this time, children will be taught about leading prayers and the Qur’an, while memorizing the Qur’an will also be conducted.
