16 states increase COVID cases; Health recognizes 214 thousand deaths

Health authorities identified that there are already 16 entities where the trend of COVID cases stopped decreasing and show a slight increase.

On daily press conference, the general director of Epidemiology, José Luis Alomía, stated that Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Colima, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Durango, Guerrero, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Morelos, Nayarit, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Tamaulipas and Tlaxcala are the entities that are contributing to the increase in cases.

According to Health authorities, between weeks 12 and 13 of the epidemic, the trend of suspected cases of COVID has increased by 9%.

However, the federal official ruled out that this is an alarm signal, since the epidemic curve may still vary.

They also registered 498 more deaths, recognizing 214 thousand 95 deaths confirmed by COVID.

In addition, 3,922 more cases were confirmed, so that there are 2 million 319 thousand 519 people who have fallen ill from the virus, since the beginning of the epidemic.

However, it is estimated that 27,408 (1%) are active cases of COVID for presenting symptoms in the last 14 days.

473 thousand vaccines against COVID apply

Until the cut of this Wednesday, 15 million 477 thousand 517 doses of the vaccines against COVID have been applied; 4 million 978 thousand 670 correspond to complete schemes.

This April 21, a total of 473,907 doses were applied.
