Yangcheonseo homepage paralyzed in protest of netizens
Commemoration of “#Sorry Jung In-ah” on the Internet
The website of the Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul, which investigated the adoptive parents of a 16-month-old adopted child who died after being abused in October last year for child abuse charges, was paralyzed at one time as articles criticizing the insolvent response.
From the night of the 2nd to the 3rd, hundreds of protesting posts from netizens were posted on the bulletin board on the Yangcheonseo homepage. Most of them said, “I had an opportunity, but why couldn’t I save Jeong In?” As the number of visitors to the homepage increased significantly, a system error occurred at one time, and the connection was not smooth even around 10 pm on the 3rd. Jeong In-i is the name of the deceased child before adoption.
To summarize the coverage of the Dong-A Ilbo, Jung In-yi’s adoptive parents, who are currently handed over to trial, were investigated by the police in May, June and September of last year. Hospitals and daycare centers that looked at the child reported suspicious abuse, but the police either terminated the internal affairs or concluded that there was no charge, and sent them to the prosecution in unprosecution. Online, there is also an active movement to send complaints to the Seoul Southern District Law, which is in charge of trials for adoptive parents. On the 3rd, the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association posted a’Jung In-yi petition form file’ on its official blog. In social media, there is also a wave of commemoration for Jeong In-i. On Instagram, more than 25,000 posts with the hashtag “#Jung In-ah I’m sorry” were posted on the 3rd.
