A subsidiary of the city of Freiburg and the Sparkasse have acquired a 16 hectare site in Freiburg for the settlement of “industry-typical” companies.

Freiburg-S-Wirtschaftsimmobilien (FWI), a joint subsidiary of the municipal marketing company FWTM and Sparkasse Freiburg-Nördlicher Breisgau, not only agreed with the seller Cerdia on the property acquisition, but also signed a letter of intent for the use of sustainable energy.
The Green Industry Park is growing
The area is located in the industrial area on Hermann-Mitsch-Straße and is largely undeveloped. The site should provide urgently needed development areas for companies in the manufacturing sector. The chemical company Cerdia Produktionsgesellschaft (formerly Rhodia Acetow) wants to ensure the supply of the companies with their own district heating via a planned pipeline. The project is part of the Green Industry Park project. The marketing of the areas should start at the end of the year.
