It is not a summer festival, due to the heterogeneity of the proposals and because it was slightly diluted over four weeks, but as if it were. Zaragoza City Council and private developers have joined forces to give birth Music al Raso, a series of concerts that will take place from July 15 to August 8 (from Thursday to Sunday, every day a concert) in the Winter Garden of the José Antonio Labordeta Park. “I think it was a necessity of the city, that it had lost a summer musical program and that in this way it recovers it. I hope it continues,” he said this Friday. Chema Fernández, director of Antípodas Producciones and president of the Association of Music Promoters and Managers of Aragon.
Zaragoza City Council provides 195.000 euros and its infrastructures to the cartel, and the promoters have set up a program with 16 others “for every taste”. “There are no international artists, because under current circumstances it is still impossible, but we have made an effort to ensure that the programming is very varied and that all types of public find attractive proposals.”
If the ordinances around capacity do not change within a month, for each concert there will be a total of 700 locations, safe from a health point of view, which are already on sale on the Música al Raso website (www.musicaalraso.com) and in Ibercaja (entradas.ibercaja.es). Prices for each appointment range between 15 and 25 euros.
The Música al Raso calendar is:

July 16th: Rigoberta Bandini+Olalla.Lux.
July 17th: Pol Granch + Lionware.

The presence of Aragonese artists is notable and the proposals include all kinds of musical styles, with some almost ecumenical afternoons, such as the Sabinera Night, in which the musicians who accompany Joaquín Sabina will perform his best-known songs, or the Urban Soul Family Picnic , which wants to be a kind of picnic in the open air, throughout the day and rocked by the immortal themes of international soul. All concerts will be accompanied by a terrace and ‘food trucks’ on the margins established by health ordinances during the pandemic.
