15th National Assembly Holds 18th Working Day, Discusses Revised Laws and Budget Regulations

The 15th National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam convened its 18th working day of the fifth session on June 19 in Hanoi. The session was chaired by NA Speaker Vuong Dinh Hue and was televised in all countries.

During the morning plenary, lawmakers discussed the revised housing law. Construction Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi addressed several issues raised by Members of Parliament (MPs). In the afternoon, NA Standing Committee Member and Chairman of the NA Finance and Budget Committee, Le Quang Manh, reported on collecting feedback on the Resolution on Approval of the state budget regulation for 2021.

A total of 478 lawmakers voted on the Resolution, with 473 voting in favor, accounting for 95.75% of the total number of NA deputies. Following this, Le Quang Manh presented a report on the review of the amended pricing law, which was approved by 476 lawmakers, with 459 or 92.91% of the total nodding lawmakers.

Vu Hong Thanh, a member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Economic Committee, presented a report on collecting feedback on the revised real estate business bill. Lawmakers then discussed the bill as a group.

On June 20, the NA is scheduled to convene a plenary session to adopt several important laws, including the revised law on cooperatives, the Resolution on the investment plan for the connecting road project from National Road 27C to Provincial Road DT.656 in Khanh Hoa Province, and the Civil Protection Law and Revised Consumer Rights Protection Law. Additionally, they will also consider the Grassroots Security and Order Forces Bill and the Revised Water Resources Bill.
