The National Medical Insurance Company transferred around 73.9 million lei to the contracted pharmacies for the compensated medicines and medical devices, issued in August 2023. More than 157 thousand people benefited from these pharmaceutical preparations.
In the structure of expenses for compensated medicines in August, the most money (about 38 million lei) was allocated for preparations intended for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, followed by oral, injectable antidiabetics and insulin analogues (around 15 million lei ) and compensated preparations for mental illnesses+Parkinson’s disease (over 2.3 million lei).
For compensated medical devices, CNAM transferred around 4 million lei. About 14,000 people benefited from tests to determine the level of sugar in the blood, and over nine thousand – from lancets. At the same time, more than 353 patients picked up collection bags for intestinal and urinary stomas from pharmacies.
The prescription for compensated medicines and medical devices is valid in all pharmacies contracted by CNAM throughout the country.
